2009 Committee Portfolios
Updated portfolios - as of 1st March 2009 ... slight revisions may occur.
There have been several changes this year to the portfolios because: 1. The management of the BSWA has been streamlined in 2008, with stream lining of positions such as the Honorary Secretary Role, and 2. Of changes with what is needed to run BSWA in 2009, e.g. with the opening of the Retreat Centre, etc.

SPECIAL PROJECT: MEDITATION RETREAT CENTRE
Guided by the vision and leadership of Ajahn Brahm, Spiritual Director of the Buddhist Society of Western Australia and abbot of Bodhinyana Monastery, an important project is underway to benefit Australia's growing Buddhist community. The need for a dedicated meditation retreat centre has spawned from the rapidly growing numbers of lay people joining the Buddhist community in Australia who wish to attend meditation retreats.
